Teacher in Music – Entry Level
We are looking for an Entry Level Teacher in Music to join our company. As our Teacher in Music, you will help us in planning, developing, improving, organizing, and holding our educational activities and programs in the field of music. This is a full-time position with benefits, where the successful candidate will have a significant impact on our music instruction programs and can become a key player on the team.

Claire Zhang LLC, founded in 2019 and operating under the business name Clarity Education, is a private music education institution based in Redmond, Washington. We primarily operate in the music school business within the educational services sector, offering a wide range of personalized music instruction programs to students of all ages and skill levels.

We provide comprehensive instruction in piano, violin, voice, music theory, aural skills, and other musicianship subjects; support students in preparing for recitals, masterclasses, ABRSM/RCM examinations, and competitions; and host workshops and performance-based events that foster artistic growth and musical excellence. As a growing and highly regarded institution, the demand for our music programs continues to rise, and we must expand our instructional team to serve a larger student population effectively.
THE POSITION
Our Teacher in Music is mainly responsible for delivering individualized and group-based music instruction and supporting all aspects of our educational programs. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of instruction and supporting our students’ long-term artistic and academic development in music.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching music theory, aural skills, and instrumental techniques to students of varying skill levels, and preparing them for recitals, standardized music examinations (e.g., ABRSM, RCM), and competitions;
- Creating and adjusting individualized and group lesson plans for music instruction, including piano, violin, voice, and musicianship, throughout each term to accommodate student progress and learning goals;
- Designing and administering mock examinations and structured performance assessments to evaluate student readiness for music certification programs and internal benchmarks;
- Providing one-on-one tutoring and specialized coaching to help students strengthen their technical ability, musical expression, and exam preparedness;
- Assessing each student’s musical development through observation and formal evaluation, identifying areas of strength and needed improvement, and offering actionable feedback;
- Supporting students in evaluating their performance in lessons, exams, and public performances; providing constructive critique and proposing targeted practice strategies;
- Fostering a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that supports artistic growth and creativity;
- Integrating clearly defined instructional goals, learning outcomes, and skill competencies into lesson content and delivery across music subjects;
- Collaborating regularly with school administrators, fellow instructors, students, and parents to communicate student progress and align on educational goals;
- Attending faculty meetings to discuss institutional policies, curriculum updates, pedagogical strategies, and regulatory guidelines related to music education;
- Coordinating with fellow teachers and administrative staff to manage class schedules, adapt group sizes, and ensure optimal use of instructional time and resources;
- Planning, organizing, and executing performance-based activities and educational events, including student recitals, music workshops, and themed showcases, and overseeing their implementation;
- Guiding students in the preparation and execution of concerts, ensemble performances, and other public musical events hosted or supported by Clarity Education (5% of working hours).
Qualifications:
Education requirement: must have a bachelor’s degree in Music or related field.
Experience: It is entry-level. No job experience is required. We are glad to train you.
Work authorization: Must have work authorization in the United States. If needed, we also sponsor H-1B applications.
